My best friend is Li Ming. He is a tall boy with short black hair.

He is friendly and always ready to help others. He is good at maths, and he often helps me with my English. He likes playing basketball and reading books. He often shares his books with me, and we often play basketball together after school.

What is he like? He is clever and honest. I feel lucky to have such a good friend.

I get up at half past six every morning and go to school at seven.

Our classes begin at eight o'clock. I have four lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. My favourite subject is English because it is interesting and useful. I usually do sports after school. Then I spend an hour doing my homework in the evening.

I take part in the English club every Friday. I think my school life is busy but happy.

A year has four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. My favourite season is autumn.

In autumn, the weather is cool and dry. When autumn comes, the leaves turn yellow and the sky is blue and high. Autumn is a good time to go hiking, so I often go hiking with my parents at the weekend. It is also very interesting to pick fresh fruit on the farm.

Each season has its own beauty, but I like autumn best.

The Earth is our home, and it is one of the most important planets.

There is a lot of water on the Earth, but there is only a little fresh water. Now there is too much pollution in the world, and the Earth is getting warmer and warmer.

It is important for us to protect the Earth. We should save water and turn off the lights to save electricity. We shouldn't waste paper or throw rubbish everywhere. Let's do something to protect our home today!

I want to be an astronaut when I grow up.

Space is full of mysteries and I am very interested in space. It takes a spaceship about three days to reach the Moon, so travelling in space is not easy. I am going to study hard so that I can go to space one day. I will read more books and learn more about stars and planets.

I hope to travel to space one day. I believe my dream will come true.

I am going to travel to Beijing this summer with my parents.

Beijing is famous for the Great Wall and the Palace Museum. If you go to Beijing, you will see many places of interest. It is great to take photos there. Beijing is also famous for its delicious food, so if you like Chinese food, don't miss Beijing duck. You should make a plan before the trip, and you'd better book the hotel early.

Last weekend, I had a wonderful time.

On Saturday morning, I went to the park with my friends and we played football there. It was such an exciting game, so we didn't want to stop. In the afternoon, I learned how to make dumplings with my grandmother.

On Sunday, I visited the science museum. First, we visited the robot show. Then, we watched a film about space. We had a good time there, and I hope I can go there again.

Collecting stamps is my hobby.

I started collecting stamps at the age of six. Now I have more than two hundred stamps from different countries. It is interesting collecting stamps because every stamp tells a story. I spend half an hour tidying my collection every weekend. My collection makes me very happy and I can learn a lot from it.

I often exchange stamps with my best friend — my collection is small, but his is big. Collecting stamps is really a wonderful hobby!
